"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

And also, before bashing something, PLEASE read the description the artist wrote, first, because a lot of the things that offend people on DA have something in the description like 'Sorry if I offended anyone, but I didn't mean for this picture to be rude' or 'This picture was not meant to make anyone mad'.
